THE PROBLEM WITH “TRADITIONAL” PIANO LESSONS

Kids have very busy schedules these days! From extracurricular activities, to homework, to chores, etc. children are constantly bombarded with things that demand their time. So often piano lessons are considered just another thing they have to do.

What if music lessons didn’t have to be this way?

I love my lessons because they are sooo fun and always an adventure!

THE SOLUTION

Excellent Piano Lesson Instruction

  • A fun and educational atmosphere in our music studio.
  • Musical concepts reinforced through games and fun activities that kids actually want to do!
  • All the benefits of studying music (improved language abilities, increased attention span, better IQs, etc.) without becoming board!
  • Advanced students prepare for prestigious ABRSM exams and various competitions!

Focus on the Student

  • We work on songs that students actually want to learn!
  • This includes songs from their favorite movies and TV shows, songs from the radio and songs from popular genres, including Broadway, jazz, and holiday music.
  • With this method students are kept continually engaged even into their teens!

I love music lessons because I get to LEARN something NEW every class!

Creativity is Key

  • Students are encouraged to get creative!
  • Piano students play improvisations (making music up on the spot).
  • Piano students write their own covers of pop songs.
  • Voice and piano students learn to play and sing at the same time.
  • Students compose their very own songs, even beginners!

Sense of Community

  • Lots of group activities make students feel like they are part of a community!
  • Recitals twice a year with receptions afterwards.
  • Group classes where students come together learn and perform.
  • Halloween Festival: students dress up in costume and perform favorite spooky songs and eat yummy treats.
  • Practice Competition: students compete in teams and earn practice points.
  • Spring Composition Festival: everyone composes an original song and performs it on a Facebook livestream.
